The school year is off to a fantastic start. Pastor led our Opening Chapel service on Tuesday. He talked about the theme for this school year (true joy). Students are quickly learning how to use the Google G Suite. It is an everyday thing. Students are learning about viruses in Life Science. They even made an imaginary virus. We also had a debate on whether or not viruses should be considered a life form. In Literature, we are reading a novel called “The Call of the Wild”. We even tried to pantomime some of our vocabulary words. American History is all about the early Americas and the explorers. We watched a few videos on Columbus, the Incas, the Mayan, and the Aztec. In World History, we talked about evolution and how there is no proof, even though some scientists make it sound like it is truth. We are reviewing a lot of concepts in the Saxon Math series. Students had their first Spelling test of the new year on Thursday/Friday. Ask the students about their special visitor on Friday for English class.
