PTL Special Meals

Special meals are done through PTL. These meals are a chance for parents to work in small groups (3-4 families) to provide homemade meals for our students five times throughout the year. This is tradition that has been carried along over the years and the kids LOVE IT! We also invite immediate and extended family members to the meals, as well as our congregation. For those attending the meal, we charge $2.00. Any funds above and beyond are appreciated, but not necessary, and will be used toward the next meal or special treats for the students during the school year.

Each meal has a “lead family” that coordinates with the group hosting that particular meal. Usually the “lead family” is one that has previously helped on a meal committee. Meals are planned for about 80 people. Menus and decor are decided by each group organizing that meal, and we try to accommodate special dietary needs. We aim to keep our budget within the parameters of expected income based on 80 guests, so as to break even.
