Confirmation

The Rite of Confirmation provides an opportunity for baptized Christians to make a personal public profession of the faith and their lifelong pledge of faithfulness to Christ. Confirmation includes in-depth study and teaching of God’s Word to us (the Holy Bible), the Ten Commandments, the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, Holy Baptism, Confession, and the Eucharist. This instruction is necessary in order to receive the Lord’s Supper, or Holy Communion. We offer adult and youth confirmation classes, which are taught by Pastor.

Youth Confirmation

Youth typically attend confirmation classes weekly in 7th and 8th grade. Leading up to and while attending confirmation classes, students benefit from regular church and Sunday School attendance, along with discussion and guidance from parents at home. This helps them feel comfortable with Bible stories, the Lord’s Prayer, Creeds and orders of service.

Adult Confirmation

Adult classes form on an ongoing basis and are held in individual or small group settings. Classes typically run six weeks and help participants become familiar with the faith, confessions and traditions of the LCMS and our church. Students will learn about Holy Baptism and the Rite of Confirmation, with the goal of them receiving Holy Communion.
