  • No, students must bring a lunch from home. There are microwaves available for students to heat up their food. The school does provide two cartons of milk per student each day. Most students have one at our morning snack time and one at lunch. Additionally, our PTL organizes special meals once per quarter and for special events.

  • All students and their families are considered members of the St. Johns family. We promote a culture where students encourage, support and lift each other up. Because of our small size, students receive personal attention, and are encouraged to use their God-given gifts to the best of their ability.

  • Our active network of students, parents and teachers are committed to enriching education.

Some of our enrichment activities include:

    • Sports: Cross Country, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, Track

    • Music: School Choir, Bell Choir, Private Instrument Lessons Offered On-Site

    • Drama Opportunities: Christmas Programs, School Plays, Veterans Day Programs

    • Field Trips: Pinters, Welch Village Ski Trip, International Owl Center, Physics Force Show

    • National Lutheran Schools Week Celebrations

  • Change often requires a period of learning and adapting, but our students move on to other learning environments successfully—whether in academics, athletics, or social life. They effectively jump into high school sports, pursue college-track coursework and make many friends along the way.

  • Foundation is critical to an enduring structure. In Matthew chapter 7, Jesus himself says: “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.” Christian elementary education not only sets children upon a winning academic path where they become competent in fundamentals, but it also teaches them the knowledge of the Triune God, which is to offer them grace, sealing them with forgiveness and salvation.
